Head to the north of Sophanem. You can use the magic carpet network south of Shantay Pass from Al Kharid to get to Nardah, and then run southwest.
Talk to the wanderer while your cat is following you.

Open the northern door on the southern pyramid (picture of a cat).
You will arrive inside a maze.
Run past the initial wall crushers and walk on the denser rubble (dotted lines indicate the locations of pitfall traps).
Alternatively follow the path shown in the image to the right.
Avoid traps and aggressive monsters until you reach a pit.
Optional Run past the wall crushers to the east and open the chest to complete Icthlarin's Little Chest.
Jump across the pit. This requires at least 20% run energy.
Open the doorway of the western room.
Solve the puzzle.
Talk to the Sphinx with your cat or kitten out.
1I need help.1Okay, that sounds fair.29.1Totally positive.Talk to the High Priest, located inside the Temple of Icthlarin in the south part of the city. You do not need your cat or kitten out for this.
Note down the name of the canopic jar in the backpack.
Go back to the southern pyramid and open the door.
Go through the pyramid again. Jump across the pit and open the west doorway.
Take the jar on the ground that has the same name as the one in the backpack previously.
Kill the apparition that spawns. You can safe-spot it by using the table in the room (unless you have the canopic jar of Apmeken or Crondis).
Take the jar again.
Open the doorway to exit the room.
Open the doorway to enter the west room again.
Return the canopic jar by clicking the empty space with the lighting effect (the original location of your jar).
Exit the pyramid. Opening the doorway should automatically take you to the entrance.

Talk to the High Priest.

Talk to the carpenter at the potter's wheel, just east of the southern pyramid.

Talk to Raetul near the Sphinx to obtain linen.
Skip these steps if you already have salt:
Bring an empty bucket just north of Sophanem to a small open lake (refer to map shown right).
Collect from the salty water for a bucket of salty water.
Head back inside Sophanem.
Search the centre piece, located just south-east of the southern pyramid.

Talk to the carpenter for a holy symbol.
This may take a few seconds before he finishes the symbol.

Enter the pyramid once again and jump over the pit.
Open the doorway of the eastern room.
Search the first sarcophagus to your immediate west, on the northern wall, and hide the unholy symbol in it.

Open the doorway to exit the room.
Open the doorway to enter the eastern room again. Finish the dialogue with the High Priest and the wanderer.
Kill the Possessed Priest.
Talk to the High Priest.
Open the doorway to exit the room to return to the temple.
