- 1Molten glass can be made in a furnace using a bucket of sand and soda ash (obtained by cooking seaweed on a range or in a fire).
- 2Molten glass can then be made into several useful items with a glassblowing pipe (tool belt will work).
- 3Training this way is a good strategy for going from level 1–30 as glasswork offers decent experience rates.
- 4Starting at level 46 Crafting, making orbs via glassblowing is an excellent method of training, granting 52.5 experience per orb and on average around 91,000 with no interruption and possibly up to 120,000 experience per hour.
- 5Molten glass can be bought for each, and unpowered orbs sell back for.
- 6Powering orbs is a good way of earning money as the charged orbs fetch much higher prices (air:, water:, earth:, fire: ).
- 7At level 54, depending on GE prices, players will likely want to switch to making bomb vials, granting slightly higher XP and much higher GP per hour than orbs, as bomb vials are worth.
- 8Players who have completed the quest The Hand in the Sand can obtain 84 buckets of sand per day from Bert.
- 9Seaweed can either be purchased from the Grand Exchange or from Arhein in Catherby.
- 10Players with level 77 Magic who have completed the Lunar Diplomacy quest can use the Superglass Make spell, which can substitute soda ash with raw seaweed or swamp weed as well as producing about 30% more glass for free.

- 1Players can make their own by using clay on a water source, earning (and one Crafting experience) per clay, thus saving per urn.
- 2Players can also mine their own clay, which would save per clay or per urn.
- 3New players can also make bowstrings from flax as these offer a bit of money as well as slow Crafting experience.
- 4Consider the cost of obtaining resources when using the methods below as prices change over time.
- 5A calculator with the prices, experience, and GP/XP rates can be found here.

- 1Cutting gems is a fast and expensive way of training Crafting.
- 2Gems are mostly obtained by mining gem rocks, opening geodes obtained from mining, and from monster drops.
- 3However, most players training Crafting will find it more convenient to buy them directly from the Grand Exchange.
- 4For a full list of methods on how to obtain gems, see Gem.
- 5Below are tables showing experience rates for the different types of gems.
- 6All experience per hour is an estimate and assumes gems are cut per hour.
- 7The following gems have a buy limit of 10,000 every four hours on the Grand Exchange and are traded in very high amounts, making them readily available and a reliable training option.
- 8Opal, jade, and red topaz have a significant chance to break when being cut, increasing the cost and reducing the overall experience they give.
- 9It's recommended to use another method of training instead below level 20 Crafting, such as creating bowstrings from flax.
- 10Moonstone, onyx, and hydrix have a buy limit of only 100 every four hours on the Grand Exchange and are traded in fairly low amount, making them hard to acquire.
- 11They also generally have a very high upfront cost compared to other gems.
- 12High level players like to farm corpse spiders for invention components using the Scavenging perk.
- 13These players usually leave lots of spider silk and thread on the ground.
- 14Using area loot, it's easy to pick up the thread and spider silk, craft it into armour, and either drop it on the ground or disassemble it if you have Invention unlocked.
- 15Alternatively, you can kill them yourself for some combat experience and a chance at spider egg (unchecked) drops.
- 16A bonecrusher or the Underworld Grimoire from the Easy Underworld achievements is highly recommended if you are going to kill the spiders yourself, as they both will remove the bones from the loot piles for an easier time looting.

Dragonhide armour offers high experience rates (typically at least 300,000 per hour), though with a higher upfront cost when buying the materials required.
- 1Dragonhide armour is crafted from dragon leather, requiring a needle (tool belt will work), and thread.
- 2Dragonhide armour offers high experience rates (typically at least 300,000 per hour), though with a higher upfront cost when buying the materials required.
- 3With the use of bank presets, up to 1,600 bodies or shields can be made in an hour.
- 4Using a pack yak can increase this to 1,800 per hour.
- 5For players with level 55 Magic, it is possible to cast High Level Alchemy on the dragonhide armour.
- 6This saves a substantial amount of money in the long run, whilst also granting Magic experience.

- 1A faster but much more intense way of crafting battlestaves involves loading a preset of only one of each type of orb with four battlestaves, and crafting each one using action bar keybinds for the orbs.
- 2When crafting battlestaves one at a time without bringing up the crafting interface, it is possible to craft them on consecutive ticks, speeding up the crafting process by twice the usual rate.
- 3By performing the crafting actions and using the 'Load Last Preset' option on the bank tick-perfectly, it is possible to craft close to 4,800 battlestaves per hour, yielding around 570,000 base experience per hour.
- 4However, this results in less experience per battlestaff overall compared to making only air battlestaves, requiring a more extensive stockpile of battlestaves as well as a variety of each type of powered orb.

75 CraftingPlagues EndPlaying the harps located within the Ithell district in Prifddinas offers moderate rates (about 80,000 experience per hour, or 100,000 with Voice of Seren/Artificer's measure as well as a little construction experience) with little attention required.
As many of the products of harmonic dust are highly desirable yet untradeable, incorporating its acquisition into a training plan is generally advisable, since the quantities required result in a fairly large chunk of exp that would be wasted if the player has already reached their crafting goal.
- 1Playing the harps located within the Ithell district in Prifddinas offers moderate rates (about 80,000 experience per hour, or 100,000 with Voice of Seren/Artificer's measure as well as a little construction experience) with little attention required.
- 2Level 75 Crafting is required to play the harps, and the Plague's End quest is required to access the city.
- 3Playing the harps will yield small amounts of harmonic dust, which is used to craft crystal tools and equipment.
- 4Harps will gradually fall out of tune in increments of 10%, granting only half the harmonic dust at 50% and becoming totally unplayable at 100%; the harp can be tuned again at any time, granting 50 construction experience for every 10% tuned.
- 5For optimal rates, it is recommended to re-tune at 20% out-of-tune.
- 6As many of the products of harmonic dust are highly desirable yet untradeable, incorporating its acquisition into a training plan is generally advisable, since the quantities required result in a fairly large chunk of exp that would be wasted if the player has already reached their crafting goal.
- 7For example, most players will want to eventually gather enough dust for the crystal mattock, pickaxe, hatchet, and binding rod, the attuned crystal teleport seed, and the blessed flask shell, for a total of 21,150 harmonic dust, which will take around 20 hours to gather.
- 8A minimum of 1,692,000 base crafting experience will be acquired in the process, or up to a maximum of 2,030,400 base exp if all dust is gathered during Voice of Seren or with the Artificer's Measure equipped.

81 MiningTheCrafting Crystal glass or Robust glass requires the completion of the quest As a First Resort.
- 1Players who have level 81 Mining can mine red sandstone from the Oo'glog red sandstone and from the Sophanem red sandstone after completing the elite Desert achievements.
- 2The red sandstone can then be made into robust glass (there is no requirement for this step as it grants no experience) on a robust glass machine.
- 3Players with level 89 Crafting can then blow the glass into potion flasks, granting 100 experience per flask.
- 4This is also a good source of money, since each flask sells for on the Grand Exchange.
- 5Players with level 81 Mining who have completed the Plague's End quest can mine crystal-flecked sandstone in the Ithell crystal sandstone mine in the Ithell district of Prifddinas.
- 6They are crafted in an identical fashion to regular flasks and give 150 experience each.
- 7Crafting Crystal glass or Robust glass requires the completion of the quest As a First Resort.
- 8Crafting in Ithell when the Voice of Seren is active will grant 20% more base Crafting XP from crafting crystal flasks.
- 9Players with level 115 Dungeoneering can mine in the Edimmu resource dungeon at a slightly faster rate.
- 10While they offer more experience than regular flasks, they are considerably lower in price at each.
- 11Players often keep the molten glass until Double XP to maximise the experience gained.
- 12However, this is not recommended due to other methods such as black dragonhide shields being much faster.

- 1While this is not a consistent method of training, players who have acquired Lacquer from voyages can craft both tradeable and untradeable tier-85 ranged armour, yielding 10,000 experience for the hood, 20,000 for the legs, and 30,000 for the body.
- 2Players can also make a Reefwalker's cape and a Leviathan ring from koi scales and pearls respectively, each granting 10,000 experience.
- 3Note that this experience is gained in the normal way, so things like bonus experience, experience-boosting sets, and other such items will increase the experience gained.
- 4Both superior and regular gear grant the same experience, and the tradeable armour is also an excellent source of money.
- 5Since it has a high XP rate with strictly limited inputs, it is an excellent candidate for double XP events.

- 1Below are tables showing experience rates for the different types of urns.
- 2All experience per hour is an estimate and assumes urns are made per hour for full urns from scratch, and urns are made per hour for if not adding gems.
- 3This is base experience without any experience boosts and without taking into account bank time.

- 1Introduced as part of the 110 crafting update, platinum jewellery offers a new method for training crafting at high levels.
- 2Be aware that some items have a low volume of trades on the grand exchange, and training using these methods may involve considerable risk.
