Menaphite marketeers require partial completion of The Jack of Spades and are a simple early option.
- 1Pickpocketing is a low-intensity training method in which the player automatically repeats the pickpocket action until they are caught, their inventory becomes full, or they stop the action.
- 2Success chance is based on the player's Thieving level compared with the target's level requirement, with an opening success boost for a limited number of pickpockets.
- 3After those boosted pickpockets, the success chance gradually falls until the player is caught or the pickpocketing chain is reset.
- 4Changing target or refreshing Crystal Mask resets the chain.
- 5These boosts mainly increase the time before a player needs to change or refresh targets.
- 6The Thieving chance calculator can be used to check success chance, AFK duration, experience, and profit for a specific setup.
- 7Players should generally move to higher-level targets as they are unlocked, provided they can maintain a reasonable success chance.
- 8It omits targets that do not improve experience rates, are mainly useful for specific loot or currency, or have lock-out mechanics that make their practical rates route-dependent.
- 9Some targets are more practical than their experience rate alone suggests.
- 10Menaphite marketeers require partial completion of The Jack of Spades and are a simple early option.
- 11Knights of Ardougne are useful Ardougne targets, as they can benefit from the Medium Ardougne achievements success chance boost and have convenient training spots.
- 12The hard and elite Ardougne achievements apply the same boost anywhere, including targets outside Ardougne.
- 13The rates below are idealised base rates using 2,000 successful pickpockets per hour and do not include experience boosts, bonus experience, banking, movement, failures, or time spent refreshing buffs.
- 14The Sticky Fingers relic increases the rate of auto-pickpocketing, but reduces experience per pickpocket, so experience rates are broadly similar if the player is not interrupted.

- 1For a low-intensity training method you may wish to continue pickpocketing NPCs, progressing to higher level targets as you level up.
- 2You will continually pickpocket an NPC until you are caught or until your inventory becomes full.
- 3Success chance for pickpocketing is based on the player's Thieving level compared with the target's level requirement, with an opening success boost for a limited number of pickpockets.
- 4After those boosted pickpockets, the success chance gradually falls until the player is caught or the pickpocketing chain is reset.
- 5Changing target or refreshing Crystal Mask resets the chain.
- 6The Thieving chance calculator can be used to check success chance, AFK duration, experience, and profit for a specific setup.
- 7With higher Agility levels you may loot an NPC multiple times; this gives additional loot but no additional Thieving experience.
- 8In general, players should move to the highest-level target that they can pickpocket comfortably.
- 9Lower-level targets may still be preferable where they have simpler loot, less movement, or better access to success chance boosts.
- 10It omits targets that do not improve experience rates, are mainly useful for specific loot or currency, or have lock-out mechanics that make their practical rates route-dependent.
- 11The listed rates assume 2,000 uninterrupted successful pickpockets per hour, with no experience boosts, bonus experience, banking, movement, failures, or time spent refreshing buffs.

Levels 50–69
1 method- 62–76Medium effortMembersIn 61 levelsNo rate given
- 1At level 62 Thieving, and with the Thieves' Guild capers completed, players can begin safecracking.
- 2First speak to the safe-cracking trainer in the Thieves' Guild to receive a stethoscope and a small loot bag if you haven't already.
- 3Begin by cracking safes in Misthalin with level 62 Thieving.
- 4Crack open safes by turning their dial.
- 5To open safes faster, players should keep an eye on the safe they are opening and wait for it to briefly flash blue or listen for an audio cue.
- 6Clicking on the safe again when this occurs will immediately unlock one of the remaining locks on the safe.
- 7At this level range you will need to crack three dial locks to open each safe. 405 experience is awarded for unlocking each of the first two dial locks. 1,600 experience is awarded for successfully unlocking a safe.
- 8After cracking a safe, fill up your loot bag.
- 9The loot can be fenced at the Thieves' Guild with Chief Thief Robin for Thieving experience and pilfer points to spend in Dodgy Derek's Dirty Deals.
- 10Uncommon looted special items can be handed in to Darren Lightfinger for 10 pilfer points each.
- 11Pilfer points can be used to unlock the following upgrades for safecracking:
- 12Almost all safes around Gielinor take five minutes of in-game time to reset after being unlocked.
- 13Hop between locations and keep cracking safes for maximum XP, rather than waiting at an opened safe for it to close.
- 14Safecracking provides around 300,000 experience an hour at level 62, with up to 400,000 experience an hour being possible if clicking when the blue flash cue appears.

The Arc Journal can teleport the player to Quartermaster Gully in Port Sarim, which is close to the Port Sarim safes and requires no charges.
- 1At level 76 Thieving, players should continue to crack safes, moving to Asgarnia.
- 2The most efficient safes to loot are the two in the Black Knights' Fortress (assuming the player owns the Skull of Remembrance for fast teleportation – climb down the staircase and the two safes are in the treasure room west), then the two on the roof of Burthorpe Castle in the equipment room, and finally the two in Port Sarim above the jewellery store and forge.
- 3Depending on how attentive you choose to be, you may find that only the first four safes are enough for a 5-minute rotation.
- 4If the Skull of Remembrance is not an option, you should fill out your rotation with some of the four safes in Falador.
- 5Using the Mining Guild resource dungeon teleport on a Hoardstalker Ring or Dungeoneering Cape and climbing the ladders will bring you the closest to the Falador safes.
- 6The Arc Journal can teleport the player to Quartermaster Gully in Port Sarim, which is close to the Port Sarim safes and requires no charges.
- 7This can provide up to 400,000 experience an hour.
- 8Clicking on the safes when they flash blue, for faster experience, you can gain up to 500,000 experience an hour.
- 83–90High effortMembersIn 82 levelsNo rate given
- 1At level 83 Thieving, players should continue to crack safes, moving to Kandarin.
- 2At higher levels, Thieving proficiency and success (RNG) may, on your route, take you back to a safe that has not been reset yet.
- 3In this case, to maximize experience, have a selection of low-level safes to crack in case you encounter this situation.
- 4This can provide up to 500,000 experience an hour.
- 5Clicking on the safes when they flash blue can give up to 600,000 experience an hour.
- 6The optimal speed route for Kandarin safecracking is as follows:
- 7A route that encompasses all safes, which is not quite as fast as the above (due to time taken to travel to Ardougne Castle on foot), is as follows: start by casting the Ardougne teleport spell and then loot the safes upstairs in the two buildings in Ardougne Market, then loot the two safes in Ardougne Castle, loot the safe in Jimmy Dazzler's house northwest of Ardougne Castle, teleport to the Yanille lodestone and loot the two safes within the wall and in the pub, then teleport to Camelot and loot the two safes on the ground floor of the castle.
- 8This can provide up to 575,000 experience an hour.
- 9However, typically cracking 4 safes will take about 5 minutes similar to Asgarnian ones, so a number of safes can be skipped (see optimal procedure above).
- 10A less expensive way is to teleport to Seer's Village and loot from the 2 safes in Camelot, teleport to Yanille lodestone and loot the safe inside the wall, and finally the safe at the first floor of the pub.

- 1At level 90 Thieving, players should incorporate hidden safes into their route, most notably the safes in the Rogues' Castle in the Wilderness.
- 2This is up to around 950,000 experience per hour if the player has completed the hard Wilderness achievements.
- 3For faster trips, Double Surge and Dive or Bladed Dive are helpful for getting around.
- 4The armoured zombie at Zemouregal's fort and rogues in their castle can often be Barged as another movement ability.
- 5The Wilderness safes are prioritised because they give the most experience.
- 6The safes in the Wilderness and in Zemouregal's fort have a cooldown of 10 minutes, as opposed to the usual 5 minutes of other safes.
- 7Zanaris and Camelot are included to fill out the rotation because all of the special safes would otherwise still be on cooldown.
- 8With this, the Wilderness safes and the Zemouregal's fort's safes should be looted every 10 minutes.
- 9With 92 or higher Thieving, Abyssal Lurker scrolls can be used to get a +4 boost that will allow the player to loot all four safes in Zemouregal's fort.
- 10Bringing some Thieves' Guild teleport tablets will allow players to quick empty their loot bag without losing much XP.
- 11With the medium loot bag, the bag will be filled roughly every two cycles.

The vault is located within a sealed wing of the Kharid-et Dig Site and requires completion of the Breaking the Seal mystery to access.
Players must speak to Liara outside the entrance before entering.
Safes require 102 Thieving to open; the stethoscope or master thief's stethoscope increases safe opening speed.
There is a 500-point cap, so not all sources must be looted to reach this.
- 1At level 95 Thieving, players can begin heists.
- 2Heists are active, route- and timing-focused content where players build up loot by stealing from chests/safes and other sources while avoiding guards, traps, and hazards.
- 3Experience rates vary depending on completion speed, route choice, and mistakes.
- 4Heists award loot points into the stolen goods bag received on entry.
- 5The bag holds up to 500 loot points.
- 6Upon exiting a heist, stolen goods are removed and Thieving experience and item rewards are granted based on loot obtained.
- 7If the heist is exited without looting the relevant rare chest, loot points are halved for experience and rewards.
- 8Logging out within a heist resets progress and deletes any loot.
- 9The Vault of Hereditas heist requires level 95 Thieving to access; the requirement is not boostable.
- 10The vault is located within a sealed wing of the Kharid-et Dig Site and requires completion of the Breaking the Seal mystery to access.
- 11Players must speak to Liara outside the entrance before entering.
- 12See Vault of Hereditas/Strategies for route details and recommended setups.
- 13Safes require 102 Thieving to open; the stethoscope or master thief's stethoscope increases safe opening speed.
- 14Crevices require 72 Agility and are required for some loot sources/shortcuts.
- 15The base experience is 400 per loot; the total loot points available is 535 (with slightly more possible via multiple loot procs).
- 16There is a 500-point cap, so not all sources must be looted to reach this.
- 17Loot point penalties for being caught/expelled are reduced by the Thieving master cape perk.
- 18At level 95, players can earn roughly 180,000 base experience per run, equivalent to about 1,200,000–1,350,000 experience per hour if completing runs in 8–9 minutes.
- 19When incorporating safes at level 98 with boosting, players can earn roughly 315,000 base experience per run, equivalent to about 1,900,000 experience per hour if completing runs in 10 minutes.

75 AgilityPlayers must speak to Liara outside the entrance to unlock it.
Safes require 114 Thieving to open; the stethoscope or master thief's stethoscope increases safe opening speed.
- 1The Asuran Arsenal is a heist requiring level 108 Thieving to access; the requirement is not boostable.
- 2It is located on the far south-east shore of Anachronia in the Swamp Fortress.
- 3Players must speak to Liara outside the entrance to unlock it.
- 4Unlike the Vault of Hereditas heist, the Asuran Arsenal contains traps and hazards that can cause damage as well as a loss of loot.
- 5Logging out or dying will reset progress and delete any loot; deaths here are unsafe.
- 6See Asuran Arsenal/Strategies for route details and recommended setups.
- 7Safes require 114 Thieving to open; the stethoscope or master thief's stethoscope increases safe opening speed.
- 8Rubble, crevices, and the railing require 75 Agility, 85 Agility, and 97 Agility respectively, and are required for some loot sources/shortcuts.
- 9The base experience is 450 per loot.
- 10Total loot points available is 625; omitting the optional first floor and floor 3 side rooms can still reach 505 points (cap with minimal additional looting/backtracking).
- 11At level 108, players can earn roughly 230,000 base experience per run, equivalent to about 1,600,000 xp/hr if completing runs in 8.5–9 minutes.
- 12When incorporating safes at level 110 with boosting, players can earn roughly 340,000 base experience per run, equivalent to about 2,260,000 experience per hour if completing runs in 9 minutes.
